An interesting picture came across on the X social network. This is a picture by the Dutch artist Arent de Gelder. The approximate year of creation of the drawing is 1710. The picture is called "Baptism of Christ" and depicts a biblical scene.

Of course, the attention of ufology lovers is attracted by the round object, which is located on top.

It is not known for certain what exactly the artist, who lived three hundred years ago, wanted to show. But in the perception of the viewer today, the first association is a flying saucer, a flying disk, a UFO. Some try to see a cloud with rain in this, but you have to try hard to see a cloud in this disk.

When I saw the picture, at first I thought - some kind of fake. But no, there really is such a picture, painted at the beginning of the 18th century. It is kept in the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge (UK).

If you look closely, you can see a light spot under the disk. When enlarged, it looks like a dove, which in Christianity symbolizes the Holy Spirit.

It is worth understanding that the painting is only the artist's view of biblical events.
